Beer Made with Recycled Bread

In the UK, 44 per cent of the bread made annually ends up in the trash, either because it was not sold in bakeries or because sandwich and supermarket makers discard the crust and lids when preparing their products. That's when Toast comes in to reverse this situation, because instead of wasting it, this brewery receives it to be sliced, roasted, mashed and mixed with hops, yeast and water. The result is a very rich beer, well balanced and with a surprising smell.
Another great advantage of consuming Toast beers is that all of your profits go to Feedback, an environmental charity that fights to end food waste.

Banana leaves
to wrap fresh food

The Rimping supermarket, located in Chiangmai, Thailand, has created a simple, economical and 100% sustainable solution to stop the use and abuse of plastic consumption: wrap fresh food in banana leaves. One of the advantages of using banana leaves is that they can be used as organic fertilizer, nourishing the soil. Additionally, they are long, thin and flexible, allowing them to make a wrapper easily. Finally, the surface of banana leaves is wax-like, giving them a unique waterproof feature.

Polyethylene products become a disadvantage the moment we dispose of them, generating problems in collection, transfer, final disposal and for this reason customers are looking for innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.
At Colombates we seek to replace the polyethylene in the free film of the bags, to generate a packaging that has barrier properties for fat, humidity and that can come into contact with food and is biodegradable.

Infill for e-commerce has environmental consequences that is mainly reflected in packaging waste. At Colombates we seek to replace non-sustainable fillers and/or materials with 100% recyclable solutions that reduce waste or material consumption.

The Chips are ideal for compacting the content of the package, including fragile products, it also prevents unwanted movement, its protection is safe, simple and flexible.

The corrugated cardboard and kraft paper exert a shock-absorbing effect during transportation, preventing products from shifting and it is versatile when it comes to covering gaps when the size, or shape, of each element is disparate.
